Cosmic Escape
Fight off the alien inhabitants in order to hijack one of their ships and get back home! Will you escape?
TIP: If you fall into the pit of running enemies in the first level, you can't escape.
Only way is to die and restart at the checkpoint or refresh the page to restart completely from the beginning.
Timing is key to the jump! Will change this sometime soon.
Controls:
Use WASD or left and right keys to move
Use left mouse click to shoot your laser gun
Use space bar to jump, hold space bar to jump higher
F Key to refresh

This game was just the right amount of challenging and I thought the movement of the game was quite smooth, Along with the design concepts, I would have loved to be able to bounce off of walls to try to save myself as I was following down the whole.
This game right off the bat has a great soundtrack to it! The colors, and presentation is consistent plus the animations are extremely charming. Now you aren’t kidding when you say that timing the jump is crucial, and honestly most of my deaths are from failing those jumps. It makes it challenging to traverse this alien world, and I think that difficulty should stay. Yet I find it weird that I can’t utilize the jetpacks features if I’m in a freefall. The ability being linked to the jump makes it strange to learn at first, but you do adjust to it. Enemies hurt boxes also linger a bit after their deaths making for some cheap blows to the limited health pool. The game however is designed to be challenging, and I really appreciate all the small details of the world. Especially all the helmets in the pits, despite what it insinuates.
I love the design of this game. The jump of the avatar is really smooth, it feels like he has a rocketeer jetpack. I can feel the resistance when he is landing. I love this game!
I think this game is greatly designed and I love the whole them of the game. I really like how the movement of the game sticks with the theme of you being in space and slowly falling.
This game is well designed and a game I can see myself playing for hours, or until I beat it. The only thing I noticed is that when jumping forward, the laser doesn't shoot far at all which doesn't let me kill the aliens before reaching the other side.
I love the attention to detail with the blaster animation when you jump and the death animations when you kill an enemy! The jumping and shooting felt nice. I do think the hitbox might need to be worked on since there were times were I would take damage even though I didn't really hit anything. Overall though, fun game! :D
This game is really fun to play and I enjoyed it very much! The 8bit style is very fun and cute and I like the character designs for the enemies. I would suggest tweaking the projectile speed so that it travels faster than the character walks because sometimes the projectile will not travel if walking and shooting at the same time.
Love the theme of the game! The movement are a bit slippery, although that may be intentional. One thing I noticed is that very time I killed the "cosmic hedgehog?", there was an on-death particle that dealt damage to me. Not sure if that was intentional as well, but that mechanic really threw me off. However, I really liked the jump timing mechanic and the ability to shoot! Every time I encountered a pit, I got pretty nervous with my jumps which made the game fun.
I love the colors and theme of the game. It reminds me of super mario bros, but this one seems a bit harder.
Love the feel of your game. Feel free to add me on discord if you want to work together ronin6611#6675.
It's been really fun seeing the progression of this game! My favorite thing has to be the exhaust that emits from the astronaut's back as you descend and move, it's a little touch that I think does a whole lot for the feel. Overall, the all import jump mechanic feels extremely solid. Everything else is jutst as great, and the enemies are good little stinkers trying to attack. Good game!
Really nice little platformer, I like some of the touches, the art is really on point and the mechanics are tight.
